The Natal ladies Golf Union was started in 1918, but the first traceable President was Dorothy Robinson in 1965. She later went on to become the President of the South African Ladies Golf Association. The Union then changed it’s name to the KwaZulu-Natal Ladies Golf Association (KZNLGA). KZNLGA has had players represent South Africa, Jackie Mercer, Judith Patterson and Val Holland to mention a few. The longest standing member of the Executive Committee is Hilary Johnson, Hilary was President of the Union from 1985—1988, whereafter she became the Secretary until she retired as secretary in 2007. KZNLGA is the largest province in South Africa when it comes to the number of female members.
