Governing Women’s Golf in KZN

Women’s golf in KZN is governed by the KZNLGA.

Due to the size of KZN and the number of golf courses therein, the KZNLGA divides the province into five Regions.

Each Region has an elected Executive Committee, which is bound by it’s Constitution to administer Women’s golf in the

Region on behalf of the KZNLGA. The Regions’ Constitution aligns with the KZNLGA Constitution.

The relationship between the KZNLGA and its Regions ensures the efficient administration of Women’s golf in the Province.

Each Region self-fund the running of their Regional Championships, League matches, Inter-Region, Inter Town and other tournaments

throughout the golfing year. Young talent is identified and nurtured through development programs with KZNLGA.

The symbiotic relationship between KZNLGA and it’s Regions provide for a successful conduit through which information is streamed from club level, to the Union and GolfRSA and visa-versa.

It is to this purpose and in compliance with its Constitution, that all lady golfers handicapped at a club in KZN are compelled to pay a Regional levy as well as the affiliation
